Our seminars are unique in that Mr. Boor not only has formal study (current PhD student) in financial math and the new derivatives material, but he also has full actuarial credentials (Fellow, Casualty Actuarial Society) and a strong sense of the business applications of the material (as a former Chief Actuary, regulator, personal lines and Fortune 500 account actuary). Mr. Paris has a long established track record teaching Part FM at the university level, as well as practical pension consulting experience.  Together, we teach a seminar you should not miss!

The Practical Part FM Seminar

Registration for Our Part FM/CAS Part 2   Actuarial Exam Prep Seminar is Now Open !

On October 6-9, 2008, we will offer an intensive part FM (financial math) review session in Fall 2008.  The seminar will be held in the resort city of Orlando, Florida.  This intensive  session will be taught in part by Joseph Boor, FCAS, a renowned author of several CAS study materials (Part 5).

Mr. Boor has a well-established history of not just explaining actuarial concepts, but explaining them so they are easy to understand.  Our seminars feature practical examples that put the material in context.  We will focus on why the material is important from a practical sense, and make it easier for you to remember in the process! If you need that last push, our seminar will put you on the fast track to passing exam FM!

Announcing our academic instructor, Stephen Paris, PhD!

The seminar will be co-taught by Steve Paris. Steve is the Actuarial Science Program Director at Florida State University, and will bring his years of classroom experience teaching part FM to his role as co-instructor.  We are very excited about combining Steve’s classroom and communication skills with Joe’s gift for making the concepts understandable!

Let me put my classroom skills to work helping you pass!’
